Tickets: Door Reviews/Bio: Tony Robertson, guitar, slide, vocals, bass, drums **** Capilano College music program 4 years. Formed Tony Robertson's Vaqueros and released a CD "Boogieman" in 1997, 10 original songs. 1990 saw Robertson tour extensively with Sue Medley, playing slide and teching for, and studying the techniques of Sonny Landreth, who toured the "Dangerous Times" Medley CD. Tony joined British legend Long John Baldry in 1991 and stayed onboard for 13 years. After LJB's passing in 2005, Robertson returned to more Vaqueros gigs and also formed a Jimi Hendrix Tribute. In 2007-8 he played several dates with The Russell Jackson Band (bassist for BB King 7 years). Most recently, Tony has worked hard to pick up the authentic Louisiana stylings of John Lee Sanders and has played on most of Sanders Western Canada dates including The Maple Ridge Blues Festival and The Salmon Arm Roots & Blues 2008. Sanders is another LJB cohort, about 20 years, thus the connection was immediate. Wicked band.
